My Fellow Lions,

It has been a great year for the Lions of Connecticut. I am so proud of our accomplishments for the year 2011-2012. We have planted more trees than what we promised our International President Dr. Wing-Kun Tam. We have been involved in our communities making a difference in other people’s lives and I thank you for that. We are gearing up for the end of the year and looking forward to another successful year of Lionism. The people in charge will change but our goal remains the same “Making a Difference in Other People’s Lives.”

In 2010-2011 the Lions of Connecticut raised and donated over $1,000,000 to their communities and organizations such as CRIS Radio, Low Vision, CLERF, Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation and Lions International. I thank you for that. Our jobs are not done. We need to continue our work to help those who are less fortunate.

I want to thank our Council, CST Julie Shilosky, District Governor Lyn Meyers, District Governor Bob Cormier, and District Governor Ken Tucker for a fantastic year and I wish the new Council for 2012-2013 the best of luck.

I am always here to help you in any way I can. Have a fantastic summer and as always thank you for serving,

CC Sia
